Mr. Prine (Ms. Prine's dad) visited the second grade today! He gave a presentation about the banjo. We learned about the (historical) origins of this instrument and how a banjo is made. We also had the opportunity to hear some very catchy tunes, and we even sang along on one number. The class had a great time! Thanks Mr. Prine!

Holiday Music Program

This year's Holiday program will be on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 6:30 P.M. The theme will be "Holiday Magic". The students in the second and third grades will be in this program. The students can dress up in their holiday clothes for the performance. They will be given "magic gloves" to wear for the performance. After the program, the students may keep the gloves. We would like you to take a moment to talk to your child about the importance of working hard in music class to help make our progam a great success. Every student's cooperation and positive attitude is important!
